Peel Land completes major land sale, accelerating housing delivery in Wigan

Peel Land has completed the sale of the first 100 acres of its Mosley Common development site, marking a major milestone in delivering much-needed housing in Wigan. Completing on 4th April 2025, this deal sees Kellen Homes, acquire the land to build 815 of the homes that form part of the 1,044 planned allocation, working together with partners Great Places Housing Group and Taylor Wimpey, reinforcing both Kellen and Peel Lands commitment to the provision of high-quality, sustainable, mixed tenure homes. Peel Land were advised by Roger Hannah and Deloitte Legal in the transaction.

The Mosley Common development, secured planning permission last year and was allocated in Places for Everyone with an approved masterplan. This being delivered represents a transformative project that will provide a diverse mix of homes while investing in infrastructure, green spaces and community amenities. Peel Land has worked closely with its partners to ensure the development aligns with the area's long-term growth ambitions.

The partnership will bring forward:
